Mountain Bike

We love riding mountain bikes, but we’ll admit it can be tough at times—especially on the hills! That’s where we’ve found a solution. Come and ride one of our Merida eOne-Sixty dual-suspension electric mountain bikes (eMTBs) and explore like never before. Whether it’s the You Yangs, Anglesea, The Hill, or many other amazing locations, we’re ready to ride with you!

Our 1:1 therapeutic eMTB adventures have proven incredibly popular, engaging participants from teenage boys to adult men. Riding an eMTB removes the physical challenges of traditional mountain biking, making the experience truly accessible. These bikes allow us to cover greater distances and tackle varied terrain, sparking a sense of adventure, freedom, and accomplishment. The activity creates a natural environment free from electronic devices and distractions. It supports physical activity and happens outdoors in nature—elements we know are excellent for mental and physical well-being.

We take care of all the transport logistics, picking participants up from home, school, or work. Travelling together in the ute provides valuable time for conversation and connection. When we reach our destination, it’s time to ride! The ride itself is rewarding for so many reasons: getting the body moving, blowing off steam, tackling challenging terrain, and feeling the rush of adrenaline. Participants may even find themselves in a flow state. Most importantly, it’s a chance to disconnect, immerse in nature, and move our bodies. The ride home is an opportunity to debrief, set goals, and plan for the days ahead.

Our 1:1 program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant. We work closely with the individual and their support network to make every session as valuable as possible. The program is overseen by a registered social worker who integrates strategies to build self-belief, confidence, and self-worth. Participants can develop problem-solving skills, learn how to navigate stressful situations, and practise mindfulness or breathing techniques. They’ll also work on cultivating positive self-talk, showing gratitude and empathy, and celebrating their successes.

At the heart of our program is the participant’s personal goals. Their aspirations guide every decision we make.

Our therapeutic adventure programs can also support participants in :

Emotion identification - Body sensation work - Regulation support & management - Conflict resolution - Identity development - Interpersonal social skill development -

Anger management - Support network development - Mental health self-care - Tapping into internal motivation pool
